Field Characteristics

Wingspan : 50-55 mm. The upperside of the wings of the Yellow Orange Tip is Yellow.

Status,Distribution and Habitat

It is restricted to Sri Lanka and peninsular India and distributed throughout the plains and lowlands. It is common in dry deciduous forests, scrub and fallow lands and found throughout the year. However, it is more common during the monsoon and post-monsoon and considerably rare in the summer.
