History of M.G.M. INTER COLLEGE Jalesar: M.G.M. Inter college is a very old intermediate. Initially the name of this school was Hindu Englo Vaidik vidyalaya. On 1 February 1948 its name was changed to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial higher Sec. School. This school got recognition for 12th class in 1953. The role of Sri N. C. Jain and Sri JaiPrakash Agrawal as a manager of the school and of Sri K.S.Bhargava, Sri O.P.Sharma and Sri R.P.Yadav as a Principal will be remembered forever. Some alumni of this school hold responsibile posts in the State Government like Nagendra Sharma S.D.M., Er.Vijay Vir Singh Yadav S.D.O./Asstt. Er.(Irrigation Dept), Mr.Rajesh Yadav S.D.M. and some are professionals like Dr.Vikas Mittal M.S., Er Rahul Agrawal IITian, and Dr Anurag Varshney. Among the above Er.Vijay Vir Singh Yadav is an expert of Irrigation and Hydro power construction. A Civil Engineering graduate from H.B.T.I. Kanpur U.P.India. Has worked as an Assistant Engineer and Executive Engineer at the time of the construction of tunnel of Maneri Bhali Project stage II (Dhanari Gad Adit). Has attended the International seminar regarding tunneling organised by International Tunneling Association and C.B.I.P. jointly. His wife Mrs. Rashmi Yadav, a postgraduate in Environmental Science from Jiwaji University is an Environmentalist.

Jalesar contains great treasure of historic events from Mahabharat Kal of Dwapar Yug to Chhawani of Marathas to the Command Camp of the English to keep watch on freedom fighters.
