At that time, he was appointed to the Judicial Council Task Force on Jury Instructions, where he served until 2001. After his time on the task force, he was appointed to an appellate panel of justices who are responsible for hearing writ petitions in labor disputes between Superior Courts and their employees, where he still serves.
