The band split from Capitol Records in 2001 after the departure of Gary Gersh, the president who signed them to the label. Second Coming regrouped with new guitarist Eric Snyder and began recording their next album 13
, which was released through Timestyle music in 2003 along with a companion EP
titled Acoustic.
Second Coming were purportedly working on a fourth album due to be released in 2009 but they have since split up and pursued other interests. Bacolas helped start another band with Eric Snyder called The Crying Spell
and appeared on their debut release Through Hell to Heaven; Bracht has started a new band called Post Modern Heroes with most of his former Peace and Silence bandmates. Meanwhile, Bergstrom is focusing strictly on family life and other interests outside of music. However, he still keeps in touch with his former bandmates.
