James Davis is the British house
and techno
music producer and DJ born in Portsmouth, England
. As well as a solo artist James is also one half of the act Grafiti
.
He continued to develop his technical ability, studying music technology at college. It was then with some friends that he founded the renowned club night “White Rabbit” in Bristol, UK and started the act “Fucha Elektronikz”.
It wasn’t long until James really began to erupt in the music scene, holding several club residencies, performing across the UK and his productions becoming very sought after.
Recently James teamed up with the respected UK artist Leama a lookalike of the infamous cgi "Jar Jar binks" to create a fresh and unique new act “Grafiti
”.
This pairing has really blossomed and their productions have created a phenomenon in the electronic music scene. With a smashing remix of the classic "Three Drives - Greece 2000
", "Jose Gonzales - Deadweight on Velvetine", new indie-folk band 'The Steals' and the massive UK act "Hybrid". Their remix of "Hybrid - The Formula of Fear", which showcases their more techno side of production. This is due for release on "Distinctive Records" in October 2008.
Original material includes: "Grafiti - 'Ghettoech", "The Steals vs Grafiti - Sinner" and the forthcoming summer smash, "Grafiti - Fascinated". "Grafiti - 'Ghettoech" made it onto "Markus Shultz's - Amsterdam 08

" compilation "LIMA". With a "Pierce remix" in the waiting, "Sinner" is eagerly anticipated and expected to cause a stir amongst electronic music lovers across the world. Grafiti's "Fascinated", considered by the few select DJs who have it as their biggest single to date, has been picked up by "Little Mountain Recordings" and will feature an exclusive remix by the Dutch house master himself, "Sander Kleinenberg". "Fascinated" not only proved to be the biggest record of their Xmas / New Years 07' tour but also undeniably became the biggest track in the current "Turn the Table" global warming events, which raises awareness about global warming through electronic music. "Grafiti" were chosen as residents to front the campaign amongst other well-known acts including, "BT

The duo have just completed their latest remix of the "Sasha
" classic, "Aquilla - Dreamstate", which fuses their lush journey sound-scapes over a tech based groove. This is due for release on "Northern Exposure" later on in the year.

' to name a few.
But it isn’t just his productions which are receiving such critical acclaim. His ability to DJ uniquely with “Ableton
”, “CDJs” and Turntables all at the same time has got audience around the globe captivated.
“Utilising the very latest in technology alongside generic DJ equipment gives me an opportunity to create and sculpt a unique sound for people to experience on the dance floor that I would otherwise not be able to do as effectively.” says James.
Alongside regular performances at leading UK clubs such as Coolhouse, Loco, Electronic Sessions, White Rabbit, James has made appearances in Austria, Colombia, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and the USA, wowing crowds with a unique blend of his own current and forthcoming productions along with those of other artists who fit his distinctive and original sound.
With on-going remixes, original productions along with a lot more international touring set for the future, James Davis continues to build his reputation as an artist.
2009 sees the forthcoming release "enter me" onto slim jim recordings with guest vocals from Jeff l'nonce.

Biography
His passion for electronic music was evident from an early age. Often missing school to experiment with synthesisers, computer music programs and turntables. James soon realised music was to be his future.He continued to develop his technical ability, studying music technology at college.
