in 2000, where she made the final sixteen. Apart from that, she played in the semi-finals of the WTA
tournaments of 1996 in Palermo
and 2001 in Estoril
. She reached her highest placing in the world ranking on 11 June 2001 - after a victory against Amélie Mauresmo
in the first round of the French Open, through which she reached the second round. After the tournament she was listed as 43rd.
Jana Kandarr ended her professional carrier at the end of 2004. She is still playing tennis together with players like Květa Peschke
