The channel hosts a myriad of Japanese right-wing, nationalist personalities primarily from academia and politics. Discussion topics often include positive portrayal of Japanese imperialism, war crime denials, anti-Korea and anti-China sentiments as well as attempting to present a "pure" Japanese cultural image. In addition, the channel is associated with nationalist and conservative Japanese political groups, such as the Japan Conference, "Ganbare Nippon" and "Tachiagare Nippon." Channel Sakura also participates in mass political rallies, which can garner several thousand participants, carrying Japanese Rising Sun flags. For example, these groups demonstrated against China during the 2011 Diaoyutai/Senkaku Dispute, against FujiTV, and against Naoto Kan's administration in the aftermath of the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake as well as the handling of the 2011 Senkaku Dispute.
On Youtube, Channel Sakura maintains an active account, "SakuraSOTV" that has over 30,000 subscribers and 50 million views as of October 2011.
