Sheikh Jasim married at Al-Wajbah Palace, Doha, on 30 March 2006, with H.H. Sheikha Buthaina bint Ahmad Al-Thani, the daughter of H.E. Shaikh Hamad bin Ali Al-Thani. They have three children, one son and two daughters:- Sheikh Fahd bin Jasim Al-Hamad Al-Thani (born 2008)
