Prior to her stint in DZXL, she was an executive producer and host of "Bottom Line" on DWBR 104.3 Business Radio. She was one of the founders and a disc jockey of the first internet radio station in the Philippines, the Philippine Internet Broadcast International http://www.phibi.com. "Phibi" enjoyed extremely high internet ratings only two months after its soft launch in April 2005, but had to close in less than two years due to financial constraints.

RMN hired Romero in 2005. She joined ABS-CBN last May 2009.
