 junior programme, first began playing rugby with Oulton Raiders and then Hunslet Parkside having been born and brought up in Leeds. On his way to becoming a first team regular for the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Jason spent a season on loan at York before moving to the Wildcats.

He made his Super League début in 2007 for Wakefield, and has been a regular in the side scoring his first try for the against London Skolars in the cup.

Harlequins RL

Golden joined London-based rugby league club Harlequins RL at the beginning of the 2009 season.

Representative

Selected for the under-18 Great Britain Academy team which beat Australia for the first time. Also played for England at under-18 level. He was also a constant fixture in the junior representative teams.

He has been named in the Ireland training squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup
