Javed Nasir, HI(M), was a three-star general of the Pakistan Army
who headed the Inter-Services Intelligence
from March 1992 till May 1993. An engineer officer of the Corps of Engineers
, General Nasir was instrumental in uniting the warring Afghan factions after the Soviet retreat, and installing the first Mujahideen government in Afghanistan
