Jean-Michel Severino is General Inspector of Finances, at the French Ministry of Finances. He is the former Director of France's international development agency - Agence française de développement (AFD, http://www.afd.fr ). He was appointed in 2001 for a three-year term, renewed in 2004 and 2007. He was previously Director in charge of international development at the French Ministry of Cooperation, then Vice President for Asia at the World Bank
