Jennifer Frautschi is a Grammy-nominated American born classical violinist, currently based in where she lives with her husband, world renowned horn soloist Eric Ruske, and their 2-year-old daughter. She plays an Antonio Stradivarius violin known as the "ex-Cadiz
," dated to 1722 which a private American foundation gave to her on loan.
and began to play the violin at the age three. At the Colburn School for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles
she was a student of Robert Lipsett
and later attended prestigious schools such as Harvard, the New England Conservatory of Music
, and The Juilliard School, where she studied under Robert Mann

, appearing again at the Wigmore Hall.
Frautschi has released three records for Artek including an orchestral debut recording of the Prokofiev concerti with Gerard Schwarz
