. She is the daughter of Kenneth Shakeshaft, an attorney, and Mary Shakeshaft, a real estate broker, the youngest of three siblings. She attended junior high school and high school
at Lewis Palmer. During her junior high days, Jennifer became a member of the school forensics team where she competed in humor and poetry. She found a love for performing at a young age, participating in local stage performances such as Cinderella
or The Sound of Music
. Jennifer excelled in sports as well and played volleyball
throughout high school. She was known as the class clown who would one day pursue the dream of acting.
Following early graduation, Jennifer attended the University of Colorado for a semester. In 2003, Jennifer transferred to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy

However, following the release of the feature, her character was not included in the final cut. Around the same time frame, Jennifer landed a regional casting search for the number one rated daytime soap, The Young and the Restless
. Jennifer filmed two episodes as the character Beatrice airing December 12 and 16, 2008.
In 2010, Jennifer signed with The Vanguard Management group. She has most recently worked on the ABC series, The Deep End
starring Billy Zane
and with FOX studios on the upcoming horror film Mirrors 2
