from the Marvel Comics
series Punisher MAX. She was created by writer Garth Ennis
and artist Lan Medina
, and first appears in the story titled "Widowmaker" (Punisher MAX #43-49).
By chance, Tim is killed by the Punisher. However, on the same day, Jenny learns that she has breast cancer. Angered, she threatens to go to the FBI with everything, but is attacked by one of Annabella's associates, Shauna. Shauna arranges Jenny to be driven out of the city and executed. However, the car she is being carried in crashes. Jenny crashes through the window, and her executioner attempts to finish her off by throwing her off a bridge. She lands in a train car of coal, badly injured and nude, but alive.
After a mastectomy, Jenny takes time to heal and learn to fight. She stays with several men who teach her to use weapons and other useful skills. She is badly scarred over her face and lacks breasts, so to disguise herself uses a lot of makeup and a fake chest. As well, she dyes her hair and cuts it. During her time away, Frank Castle continues his attack on the Cesare family, climaxing with the events of the "In the Beginning" story arc.
She kills all but Annabella, and instead brings her sister back to the safe house, where she ties her up. Frank, who had passed out, wakes up to find himself handcuffed. When asked why, Jenny cryptically says "You might try to stop me. I can't have that." Jenny beats Annabella to death with a baseball bat while Frank watches. Her vengeance sated, she crawls to Frank and asks to have sex with him and finally "let her feel it." They do. Jenny explains how only Frank is strong enough to live with all the pain they have endured, and then shoots herself in the head. Frank breaks one of the handcuffs in a vain attempt to stop her, and realizes what she meant.

Early life
Jenny Cesare was born into the Cesare Mafia family. When she came of age, she started seeing Tim, a high ranking mafia hitter. She dated him for four months before engaging to be married. Her sister, Annabella, and her best friends Bonnie, Barbi, and Lorraine, all supported the marriage and "sold" Tim to her as the perfect husband. On their wedding night, Tim attacks and rapes Jenny without any provokation. Gradually, Jenny learns the truth about Tim: his first wife didn't die in a car crash, but shot herself in the head with his gun, and realizes that her sister, friends, and family had sold her to Tim, as it wouldn't look good if such a high ranking soldier didn't have a wife to protect his civilian cover. For several months, Jenny is abused by Tim, while her sister and friends continue to keep her in the marriage by rationalizing what happened and explaining it was for the family.By chance, Tim is killed by the Punisher. However, on the same day, Jenny learns that she has breast cancer. Angered, she threatens to go to the FBI with everything, but is attacked by one of Annabella's associates, Shauna.
