The Jersey Surf Drum and Bugle Corps is a Drum Corps International
World Class (formerly Division I) drum and bugle corps
. Founded in 1990, the corps is based out of Mount Holly, New Jersey. The Jersey Surf first entered World Class competition in 2009. Previously, they were a member of Open Class (formerly Division II).
The corps debuted in 1991 at the Independence Classic Drum and Bugle Corps competition at the University of Pennsylvania
's Franklin Field. The corps performed the National Anthem in rented high school band uniforms.
The corps made its first competitive performance in 1992, competing in the Garden State circuit and Drum Corps East. The corps was undefeated in the Garden State circuit and also made an appearance at the DCI Eastern Classic in Allentown, PA.

History
The corps was founded by band directors and instructors in the area who wanted to have a place for their band members to continue to march after the fall marching band season. The corps was originally chartered as Explorer Post 333 and held its first rehearsals at Berlin Community School. Later, they rehearsed in Berlin Park.The corps debuted in 1991 at the Independence Classic Drum and Bugle Corps competition at the University of Pennsylvania
