Jesse was well with the three members of Keane, and became close friends. Quin not only did his work as a session musician, also participated in the creation of the entire album with the band. That's why Tim, Tom and Richard invited him to accompany them in the Perfect Symmetry World Tour, as bassist.
He recorded with Keane once again on their 2010 EP, Night Train
, which was released on 10 May 2010, and went straight to number one in the UK Albums Chart

In January 2010, Quin recorded an album with his friend and bandmate Tim Rice-Oxley
, and with some friends under the moniker, Mt. Desolation
. The other performers on the record included members of Noah And The Whale

It was announced on 3 February 2011 on the official Keane website that Quin had become an official member of the band. Keane posted a message on their official page on 3 February 2011 stating:
"Hi everyone. We're excited to tell you that after more than three years as our bass player and friend, Jesse Quin is joining Keane for good.
Jesse has been making music with us since our War Child shows back in 2007, and through the making of Perfect Symmetry and the Night Train E.P. He's an amazing musician, and these days we can't imagine life in Keane without him.
We know many of you have taken him to your hearts as we have toured the world over the last three years, so the only difference will be the chance to hear what he has to say in interviews and see him in photos like this one.
