History

Prior to 1989 the club was known as the Cooks River Bowling Club. After the sale of the Newtown Leagues Club premises in Stanmore Road, Marrickville. The Bowling Club and Newtown Jets R.L.F.C, entered into a commercial relationship together which became a full business partnership soon after.
