Jewish Spiritual Leaders Institute (JSLI)

Founded in 2010, the Jewish Spiritual Leaders Institute (JSLI) ordains liberal rabbis to meet the needs of the millions of unaffiliated Jews
as well as interfaith families. JSLI graduated its first class of rabbis in August 2011.
The seminary conducts its classes via the Internet
through interactive, videoconferencing
sessions, over the course of the one year term of the program. JSLI does not belong to any particular movement of Judaism
and advances the philosophy of Jewish Universalism, holding that all paths ultimately lead to 'the One.' JSLI's Dean and Founder is Rabbi Steven Blane, who also leads the in-person and online Havurah Sim Shalom in New York City
