Jim Leahy

Jim Leahy is a former American collegiate soccer goalkeeper
who is the founder and president of Leahy Management Group. He was the 1984 ISAA Goalkeeper of the Year
.
from 1981 to 1985. While at Brandeis, he was a four year starter at goalkeeper
for the men’s soccer team. In 1984, his senior season, he was selected as the ISAA Goalkeeper of the Year
. When Leahy graduated from Brandeis, he elected not to pursue a professional soccer career. Instead, he took the Assistant Head Coach position for the Men's Soccer Team at Clemson University
. After one season at Clemson, Leahy began his career as an advocate for non-profit organizations.
While Leahy pursued his business career, he maintained contact with soccer through youth coaching. That has included time as the head coach of Tolland High School
’s boys soccer team and the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association’s U-16 Select Team head coach. He is a youth soccer coach for the Northeast United Premier Soccer Club and the Tolland Soccer Club.
In 2008, Leahy rejoined Tolland High School as the head coach of the Boys varsity team.
He is a certified association executive
. Leahy is also a member of the Brandeis Athletic Hall of Fame and the President of the Friends of Brandeis Athletics.
