James Reubin Tabor also nicknamed "Rawhide", was a Major League Baseball

(1946–47). Tabor was born in New Hope, Alabama

Tabor came to the Red Sox late in the 1938 season and hit .316 (18-for-57) in 19 games. The next year he was the regular third baseman. He appeared in 149 games and had a .280 batting average
