Joe Keohane was an Irish
sportsperson. He played Gaelic football
with his local club John Mitchels and was a member of the Kerry
senior inter-county team from 1936 until 1949. Keohane is universally regarded as the greatest Gaelic football full-back of all-time.
In a senior inter-county career that spanned two decades, Keohane won almost every honour in the game at senior level. He won five All-Ireland
medals, ten Munster

Keohane has also been the recipient of many awards off the field. He was named in the full-back position on the Gaelic Athletic Association
