Johan Carp

Johan "Joop" Robert Carp (January 30, 1897 in Tjomal, Dutch East Indies – March 25, 1962 in Johannesburg, South Africa) was a Dutch sailor who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics, in the 1924 Summer Olympics, and in the 1936 Summer Olympics.
In 1920 he was a crew member of the Dutch boat Oranje, which won the gold medal in the 6½ metre class (1919 rating). He won this competition together with his younger brother Bernard Carp and Petrus Wernink.
Four years later he was a crew member of the Dutch boat Willem Six which won the bronze medal in the 6 metre class.
In 1936 he returned to the Olympics as a member of the Dutch boat and finished eighth in the 6 metre class.
