According to the RKD he was at his sister's from 1672-1674, and then left for England. He left England after encountering financial difficulties, and accompanied the marquis de Béthune to France. He then returned to England where he worked at the court of Charles II. He then accompanied his envoy to Turkey, but the envoy died en route. It is unknown precisely what became of Vorstermans after that. His pupil was Jan Soukens
