John Carter’s first CD of his own music titled “Bitter Harvest” was released only to the international market in 2003. His current CD, “The Family Secret” is available now.
John Carter is producer of Billy Joe Shaver

He also is producer of the tribute CD to his mother titled “Anchored in Love”, and is author of his mother’s biography, also titled “Anchored in Love”.
Beginning in 2006, Cash began a long term collaboration with producer/composer Jack Clift
. Combining American Folk and the traditional music of the Central Asian nation of Uzbekistan
, Cash and Clift formed the musical confederation Cedar Hill Refugees and produced the critically acclaimed CD, Pale Imperfect Diamond. As of Winter 2011, a follow up CD is in full production.
His latest endeavor as an author is a book for children. “Momma Loves Her Little Son”, is published by Simon and Schuster. His newest children’s book was released in April 2010 titled “Daddy Loves His Little Girl". His third children's book, "The Cat in the Rhinestone Suit" is scheduled for release in 2012. He is also trying to publish a novel called Lupus Rex with the characters being animals.
John Carter appeared in the film "Walk the Line
", and though his scene was not in the screen version, his portrayal of disk jockey Bob Neal may be found on the deleted scenes section on the extended DVD.
John Carter Cash owns and operates the Cash Cabin Studio near Nashville, Tennessee. His production company is Cash Productions, LLC. He often performs and works in the studio with his wife Laura Cash, who is an accomplished fiddle player and vocalist.
John Carter is the father of three children, Anna Maybelle Cash, Joseph John Cash, and youngest, Jack Ezra Cash, born February 2006. They live in Hendersonville, Tennessee
