international. In 1989 he toured with the British and Irish Lions and at the time played club rugby union

He was selected to go on the 1992 Great Britain Lions tour of Australia and New Zealand. Also in 1992 Devereux played from the bench in Great Britain's loss to Australia in the World Cup final at Wembley.
