John Osborne broadcaster, birthday 28 September, started his radio career on London's pirate radio circuit, culminating in South London's very successful Horizon Radio.

In the mid eighties he interviewed artists such as Madonna, Kajagoogoo, Nick Heywood and Mary Wilson of the supremes - for pirate radio. Soul on Sound and Soundwave Magazine. John also carved a very successful career as a club DJ in clubs such as The Hippodrome, Camden Palace, Limelight, Buzz Bar, Room at the Top, Stage 3, Cinderellas Rockerfellas, 5th Avenue and The Ritzy. In 1992 he won the BEDA Club DJ of the year award and was nominated for The Disco International award.

John became the presenter of the DMC Mixing Championships for a two year period 92-94.

In 1996 John Osborne started working in legal local radio. He joined Invicta FM the independent local radio station for Kent owned by Capital Radio, during this time interviewed The Spice Girls, Boyzone, Craig David, Jim Kerr, Robin Gibb and loads more, he presented various shows including The Wind Down Zone, Just 80's, Boogie Years, The Online Request Show and finally the 1-5pm afternoon slot Mon-Fri and the Friday and Saturday night Club Dance Show. He appeared in just about every nightclub in Kent during this time

Virgin Radio

The year 2002 gave John the big break to National Radio when he joined Virgin Radio He presented many different shows but mainly Virgin Party Classic's and Early Breakfast (mon-fri) also covering daytime shows including Breakfast and Drive-time. He continued to guest DJ at clubs such as Strawberry Moons, Club Boulevard and The Electric Ballroom where he would broadcast from live every New Year's Eve on Virgin Radio. also writing regular columns for newspapers and magazines.

Absolute Radio

When Virgin became Absolute Radio he stayed and then began broadcasting at the weekends presenting Weekend Breakfast and then mid week overnights plus many other shows where he covered absent DJs. John has now left Absolute Radio.

Gold Radio

John can now be heard on Gold Radio, on the late night weekend slot from 10pm. Including covering other shows. He also now appears at Golds Music Weekenders.

Other work

He also still appears at various nightclubs and music festivals and is one of the main DJ's at The Caister Soul Weekenders. He also runs a DJ agency getting bookings for Radio Presenters.
