 and as a sports lecturer. John signed a new contract with Rochdale Hornets in September 2011 for a further 2 years, after guiding the club to a Play Off finishing position in both 2009 and 2010. John is regarded as one of the brightest young coaches in the Professional game, and was rewarded for his reputation with the new role of Director of Rugby at Rochdale Hornets, as well as joining the Board as a Director. In October 2011, John was appointed as Performance Coaching Consultant with Russia Rugby League for their World Cup Qualifying fixtures against Italy, Lebanon and Serbia.
