John Wilson is an American
soccer player, who currently plays for Charleston Battery
in the USL Professional Division.
at Clemson University
as a forward
. During his time with the Tigers, Wilson helped them to an ACC
Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Final Eight (1998). He tallied 18 goals and 35 assists in his college career.

, where he played mostly left back and some left midfield. Wilson played in the Copa Sudamericana

. Wilson also logged significant time with the DC United reserve team, and aided them in their efforts to win the inaugural MLS Reserve Division
title.
Wilson was waived by DC on June 26, 2007, and returned to Charleston prior to the 2008 season. On April 13, 2010, Charleston announced the re-signing of Wilson to a new contract for the 2010 season. He announced his retirement after the 2010 season but re-considered and signed a new contract with Charleston on March 3, 2011.
