Johnstown-Monroe High School is a public high school
in Johnstown, Ohio
. It is the only high school in the Johnstown-Monroe Local School District. It was erected in 1963 and currently houses grades 9-12. It contains a cafeteria, gymnasium, performing arts center,and music room. The current principal of JHS is Mr. Kim Jakeway. The district superintendent is Mr. Damien Bawn. Most of the school population participate in sports and marching band. Many band students are also in a sport. The band to school ratio is 179 band members out of about 450 students.
Received a proclamation from the statesman because it was the only high school band in the state of Ohio to be invited to perform at the 2009 Chic-Fil Bowl game at the Georgia Super Dome.
During the bowl week, the band earned the first trophy for the top marching band in their class size and the first place trophy for overall grand champions in the bowl parade.

Band
Big Red Band - A show style band that rarely participates in marching band competitions. The band plays popular songs (i.e. Fall Out Boy's Dance, Dance, Taio Cruz's "Dynamite", and Kesha's "Tik Tok".) and incorporates precision drill and dance routines into their shows.
