Jon McGregor is a British author who has written three novels; If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things

in 2003, and So Many Ways to Begin, which was published in 2006 and also found its way onto the Booker Prize longlist. He was commissioned to write a short story for the Cheltenham Literature Fetival in 2007. It was called Close. He is currently one of the writers-in-residence for the charity First Story
