Department Organization

The Jonesborough Police Department is headed by the Chief of Police, who is assisted by two Majors, and four Sergeants who command each patrol shift. The Chief of Police reports to the Public Safety Director. As a part of the Jonesborough Public Safety, all Police Officers receive firefighting training, and have access to firefighting equipment in their patrol cars.

In addition one officer is trained as a Criminal Investigator and another officer is trained in code enforcement. Two officers are also certified K-9 officers.
