Joona Toivio

Joona Toivio is a Finnish
football player currently playing for Djurgården. Toivio was also the captain of the Finland U21
team, for whom he has played in both midfield and at the back.
Earlier in his career, he was chosen the best youth player in Finland and as a result had a trial at Manchester United. Though this proved unsuccessful, he later signed for AZ and is seen as a promising player for the future, at both domestic and national level. Toivio moved to Swedish side Djurgårdens IF after a failed stint in AZ, being on loan to Telstar during most of his time in Holland.
