Healy was a member of the New Hampshire Senate
in 1824. He was elected as an Adams candidate to the Nineteenth and Twentieth Congresses (March 4, 1825-March 3, 1829). After leaving Congress, he was a member of the New Hampshire Executive Council 1829-1832. He resumed agricultural pursuits and the hotel business. He died in Washington, New Hampshire
in 1861 and was buried in the Old Cemetery.
