Juan Garchitorena was a football (soccer) player and North American silver screen star from Manila in the Philippines. He belonged to the very prominent Basque mestizo Garchitorena clan of Manila and the Bicol Region—his nephew was Luis Garchitorena, the winner of the 1978 Premio Zobel literary award in the Philippines.
