. He is of Ukrainian
descent.
As a promising young talent, Kmet was bought by Sporting Clube de Portugal in 1998-99
, at the same time as compatriots Aldo Duscher
and Facundo Hernan Quiroga
(both from Newell's Old Boys
). However, he only made one official appearance for the club, subsequently returning to first club Club Atlético Lanús
after the season was over.
Kmet went on to represent a host of clubs in his country, almost at a rate of one per season, moving in 2008 to Cyprus
