became champions.

1-0 as it was 7 points ahead the Brugge team with 3 matches to go prior to this. The next day Anderlecht beat Racing Genk
by 1-4 and then Standard Liège

and so did Gent.
avoided the relegation with a discussed draw against Anderlecht on the last matchday. Anderlecht was indeed already champion and it played with Enzo Scifo who had previously signed a deal with Charleroi. Anyway Geel lost its last match to Club Brugge and it was thus relegated with Lommel.
