. Justin married Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis
, and together they have three sons while Justin has one by a past romance.
In 1987, Justin and Adrienne marry in Greece, yet when returning to Salem things become rocky. She hates his illegal ties with the Kiriakis business and that stress causes her to miscarry when she becomes pregnant with their child. Justin accuses her of purposely losing their child and the two grow further apart. Eventually, Justin chooses to make their marriage work and moves out of the Kiriakis Mansion - leaving behind his uncle as well as their illegal dealings. Unfortunately for the couple, when Victor is shot Justin returns to the mansion to oversee the Kiriakis Empire. Adrienne, however, doesn't return with him. Justin turns to Angelica Deveraux when Adrienne rejects him, and she becomes pregnant with his child.
Adrienne begins having an affair with the Kiriakis stable hand Emilio Ramirez. Justin is furious at this and arranges for Emilio to be killed in an accident, but Justin ends up getting caught in his own trap and is paralyzed. This accident causes Adrienne to return to Justin, and they make up. In time Justin regains the use of his legs, but is impotent as a result of the accident, leading to more tension between the couple. Angelica, now married to Neil Curtis, contemplates telling Justin he is the father of her son Alexander, but decides against it for the time being. Later Justin is almost killed when Emilio tries to get revenge on him by cutting the brakes in his car.
Eventually Justin and Adrienne learn that Angelica's son Alexander is his son, but they don't split up. Justin and Adrienne move out of the Kiriakis mansion when Justin learns that his uncle Victor is drugging him, causing his impotency. In an attempt to get back at his uncle Justin hires a hooker name Yvette DuPres to seduce his uncle and con him into believing she is a wealthy baroness. Victor eventually learns the truth and is furious with him. Angelica then moves in with Victor and plan to marry him knowing that it would kill Justin to have his son under Victor's roof. Justin refuses to allow that happen and stops the wedding. Justin then sets Angelica up in a lavish penthouse apartment
. Fearing she is losing Justin, Adrienne, under the advice of Victor, allows Justin to believe she is pregnant. When Angelica learns the truth and exposes Adrienne, both Justin and Adrienne agree to get a divorce.
Soon the former spouses are in competition when both Adrienne and Justin decide to open construction companies. They also begin dating again, which makes Angelica angry. Angelica bribes one of Adrienne's men to blow up a building her company is working on. As a result, Adrienne becomes trapped in a pit. Justin manages to rescue Adrienne and he claims that he is responsible for the blast. However, when Angelica knows she will be discovered sooner or later, she flees town. Angelica's plane crashes and she and little Alexander are presumed dead. In reality, they had boarded another flight. Justin and Adrienne grow closer because of the incident and Victor disowns him. Eventually they remarry on June 1, 1990.
Upon returning from their honeymoon, Justin and Adrienne take pity on Angelica's wacky housekeeper, J.J. Bagwood, and hire her as their own. Coincidentally, Justin and Adrienne are having problems conceiving, so when J.J. becomes pregnant she offers to give her twins to them. After the baby's births on September 19, 1990, their biological father, Stanley, comes forward to claim them. Like their father, J.J. also has doubts about giving up the twins, but they soon realize that Justin and Adrienne can give them a better life. After handing over custody, both J.J. and Stanley leave Salem. A short time later, Adrienne becomes pregnant and eventually gives birth to a health baby boy, Jackson. Needing a fresh start, they move to Texas with their children and start the A.J. Construction Company. Before leaving Justin, Adrienne, and Victor all reconcile and Johnny Corelli reunites Justin with Alexander, the son who he believes had died.
Justin returns to Salem in 2007 with Adrienne and his sons. While she is busy helping her family deal with the fallout of her recently resurrected brother Steve's brainwashing, he tries to reestablish roots, but soon finds it hard to readjust to life back in Salem. In January 2008, Justin accepts a job in Dubai and moves his entire family there.
In August 2009, Justin, now a lawyer, returns to Salem (and this time he was seen on screen). Victor’s godson, Dr. Daniel Jonas, has been falsely accused of attempted murder so Victor sends for his nephew to provide Daniel legal representation. Justin quickly returns from Dubai and gets to work. His first victory on the case is when he thwarted Charles Woods, Salem’s new D.A. Woods attempts to railroad Daniel, who has just gotten out on bail, and have him sent back to jail for a “violation,” but Justin saves the day with his sharp skills.
Aside from the case, Justin is thrilled to see his family and friends in Salem. While catching up with Victor, Bo and Hope, he mentions that Adrienne and his children are fine, although Jackson is the only one of their sons still living at home with them. Later, however, when Justin talks with Hope in private, he admits that he and Adrienne are having marital problems. Part of their problems stem from them not adjusting well to the impending “Empty Nest Syndrome” once Jackson leaves home.
Justin ends up being shot trying to save Hope's and Ciara's life from Dean. He doesn't die and is released after only a short stay at the hospital. His wife serves him with divorce papers though he loves her he signs them. In March 2011 Adrienne came back to Salem and despite the divorce two are cordial and still have sexual tension. Eventually they realize they are still in love and claiming "the third time's the charm" get remarried. Their son Jackson, now known as 'Sonny', came to Salem in July
