KBFD is one of the very few stations in the Honolulu market that still signs off, every night at 12:30 AM. The station signs back on at 6:00 AM.

Digital television

On January 15, 2009, KBFD-DT moved from channel 32 to channel 33 when the analog to digital transition was completed, but has a PSIP to display its virtual channel as 32.
