Early history
KEYN signed on the air in 1968 as a Top 40 station, the first stereo FM station west of the Mississippi. The station was purchased by former TM partner Jim Long and country music artist Charley Pride in 1980, as Long-Pride Broadcasting.Long-Pride Broadcasting sold KEYN and its sister station KQAM 1410 in 1987 to Aberdeen Communications.
