KK Metalac played six first league season. Metalac Basketball Club was established 24/03/1948 and when it held its first conference at which the election is decided to switch teams in league competition. The club was founded under the name KK Buducnost, and the first official game played in the same year against KK Borac Cacak and lost by a score of 69:19.
