History
KMXN signed on the air in 1981 as KZOC (KZ-93), a country station serving Emporia, Kansas. By the mid-1990s, the station was known as KANS, and the format was 50s-60s oldies fed by satellite. After an ownership change to 3 Point Communications in 2003, the station began targeting Topeka and flipped to Rhythmic CHR as "Wild 92.9" after stunting with Tone-Loc's Wild ThingWild Thing
