legally changed to KCCS. In 1973 the name of the license holding company was changed to Christian Center Church and the station's programming shifted again, this time to Contemporary Christian music

The name on the license was changed again in 1974, this time settling on Christian Center of Salem.
The FCC gave the station authorization to add nighttime service, albeit at just 171 watt
s of power, in a construction permit

After more than three decades of continuous ownership, the Christian Center of Salem, reached an agreement in February 2004 to sell KCCS to The JC Media Group through its KCCS, LLC, holding company. The deal was approved by the FCC on April 15, 2004, and the transaction was consummated on May 6, 2004.
As part of a rebranding effort, the station applied for a new call sign
and was assigned KBDY by the FCC on December 6, 2006. The station was assigned the current KPJC call sign by the FCC on February 18, 2007.
