In the summer of 2005, KFXM signed on with an oldies format from Lancaster, California
, and many of KRAJ's listeners migrated to KFXM because it had a stronger and cleaner signal. In late 2005, KRAJ dropped the oldies format in favor of a Hip hop
format called 100.9 The Party Station, the format stayed but the name was changed to 100.9 The Heat in summer 2006.
The oldies format was moved to KLOA (AM)
at 1240 AM, also owned by Adelman. 1240 AM cannot be heard in the Antelope Valley.
