Nearly 5,000 citizens toured the new Dixon Public Hospital on New Year’s Day.
An addition was built in 1923, which added a solarium and several inpatient rooms.
Another addition came in 1942 when many inpatient rooms, a pharmacy, and a laboratory were added. This addition formed the core structure of today's hospital building.
