format and was known as "Old Gold 77 KXA". The station dumped oldies and flipped to a simulcast of country station KRPM (now KBKS) and changed call letters to KRPM-AM. The station would change call letters to KULL in 1991, but maintained the country format. In a format swap in 1995 with AM 1090, the station received the call letters KNWX and the talk format. The station would acquire the current call letters in 2003.
