It now uses LD as its suffix denoting the station's status as a low power digital television station. The station's transmitter is located atop Mount Arden, 6 miles south of Henderson.

 affiliate. The next year, channel 25 signed on as KCNG-LP and picked up the UPN affiliation. This station began its regular programming bringing local UPN service back to Las Vegas since KUPN became WB affiliation.

The station was renamed KTUD-LP in 2000, before switching to the "-CA" suffix in 2003. Initially owned by King Kong Broadcasting Inc., KTUD would go through a series of ownership changes before its acquisition by Greenspun. On April 24, 2006, KTUD-CA announced that they were becoming an independent station. The station subsequently rebranded to "Vegas TV".
