Underground Rock artists included: Its A Beautiful Day, Bubble Puppy, The 13th Floor Elevators, Procol Harem, Ten Years After, Jefferson Airplane, Savoy Brown, The Who, The Grateful Dead, Love, The Sir Douglas Quintet, Pink Floyd, Josefus. KITE evolved into a full time rocker as KEXL in the 1970s.

KZEP use to play two songs from the same artist every Tuesday calling it "Two For Tuesday" (2X 4 Tuesday) but now it has been discontinued. KZEP used to also air the classic disc at midnight, playing an albums worth of music from the same artist.
