Kamthi is located at latitude 21°223' North, longitude 79°2' West. According to the 2001 census, it has an area of 40,706 hectares. National Highway No.7 passes through it. There are three bridges over the Kanhan river. One is a railway bridge, and the other, older bridge, is a road N.H.7 and a newer one small road that goes to Old Kamthi. There is one big water filter plant which supplies water to the larger area of Nagpur city.Religion
