Kamyshin is a city in Volgograd Oblast

, located on the right bank of the Volgograd Reservoir

Kamyshin was founded in 1667 on the left bank of the Kamyshinka River. In 1710, all of its inhabitants were relocated to the fortress on the opposite bank of the river. This settlement was named Dmitriyevsk. In 1780, the name was changed to Kamyshin and it was granted town status. In the 19th century, Kamyshin turned into a merchant

Near Kamyshin, there is a 330-meter tall guyed TV mast, which belongs to the tallest manmade structures in Volgograd Oblast.
